Peter Martin, originally a journalist, produced the groundbreaking entertainment formats WIRED and PASSENGERS in the 90’s. Peter became the Creative Director of Ealing Film Studios in 2001. He went on to create his own company Zeppotron that he later sold to Endemol, and formed the film division of Done & Dusted where he was the MD.
In 2006 Peter set up Surreal Films and produced Orange/BAFTA’s 60 SECONDS OF FAME, making 3 groundbreaking short films with Directors Ken Russell, Martha Fiennes and Julia Jason.
Surreal Films produced its first feature length documentary THE WORKSHOP, which premiered at the 2007 Tribeca Film Festival and was released in the UK by Revolver in 2008. He co-created PHOO ACTION with Jamie Hewlett (creator of TANK GIRL and GORILLAZ), for the BBC, which won a BAFTA for best drama in 2009. Peter has recently written a screenplay about Salvador Dali, which he is producing with the director Floria Sigismondi (THE RUNAWAYS).
