Andrea Barata Ribeiro is a founding partner of O2 Filmes and one of the creators of it’s television and film branch. She was elected by Variety magazine as one of 50 most influential women in the entertainment industry worldwide.
Andrea produced the feature film MAIDS (2001), by Fernando Meirelles and Nando Olival, CITY OF GOD (2002) by Fernando Meirelles, CITY OF MEN (2007) by Paulo Morelli, NOT BY CHANCE (2007) by Philippe Barcinski, THE POPE’S TOILET (2007), by César Charlone and Enrique Fernández, and BLINDNESS, by Fernando Meirelles, as well as the TV series CITY OF MEN (2002/2003/2004/2005) and SOUND AND FURY (2009) for Globo TV.
In 2006, Andrea produced SONS OF CARNIVAL for HBO Latin America as well as the Emmy nominated ANTONIA in 2007, a TV series for Globo TV.
